Dell Precision M3800 Workstation Review
Dell Precision M3800 is a stylish laptop with a high-definition display even more pixels than the Retina Display in the 15-inch MacBook Pro.
Dell Precision M3800 features a 3,200 x 1,800 pixel IGZO panel with multi-touch standard on all systems In addition Precision M3800 will be the first mobile workstation to be less than ¾ of an inch (18mm), weighing just over 2kg.
The Precision M3800 will have software including AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, DS Catia and Solidworks, PTC Creo, Siemens NX and TeamCenter with Independent Software Vendor (ISV) certifications.
The Precision M3800 will feature 4th generation Core i7 Quad Core CPUs as well as an Nvidia Quadro K1100M GPU. The Precision M3800 is more suited to entry-level to mid-range 3D CAD. The Quadro K1100M is the lower-end of Nvidia’s new Kepler family of GPUs and expect the QHD+ display (which has nearly three times as many pixels as standard HD) to slow things down a bit. When we compared a 3,840 x 2,160 powerwall to a standard HD display we found 3D performance dropped by about 20%.
